Olivier is the Partner in charge of Citizen Capital’s early-stage fund.
He joined Citizen Capital in 2019, after managing for three years NUMA’s acceleration business in Europe and growing it from a portfolio of 5 to 125 companies including well-known start-ups in the traditional venture ecosystem such as Welcome to the Jungle, Yubo, Mindsay or Supermood. His interest in mentoring and helping out founders dated back to his own experience as co-founder of LocalEyes which was acquired in 2016 as part of a build-up operation by its Italian competitor BeMyEye.
Olivier started out his career as an M&A analyst at Goldman Sachs in 2004 after graduating from ESCP Europe. He worked for 8 years in BNP Paribas’ structured finance team in Sydney and Paris, where he funded a number of large-scale infrastructure, power and utilities projects and businesses.
Olivier is particularly sensitive to start-ups working on the future of agriculture, education for all, and mental health.
Growing companies through the lenses of a strong and inclusive “why” is more than a start. It’s a head start to solve most issues that founders experience building long-lasting companies that shape a fair and sustainable future.
