The Les Eaux Vives Emmaüs association has been fighting for the inclusion of the most disadvantaged since 1976. It welcomes everyone as they are, even those without a plan for their future, and places them at the heart of its work.
Les Eaux Vives Emmaüs is supported by our Citizen Impact Contract (CIS) fund.
FINDINGS
In Europe, 1 in 4 people are affected by mental health issues during their lifetime.
In France, 12 million people suffer from mental health issues each year.
Mental disorders are the leading cause of disability and the second leading cause of sick leave, according to the World Health Organization.
In more than 70% of cases, the first signs appear between the ages of 15 and 25.
THE PURTPOSE OF THE IMPACT CONTRACT
Supporting people with mental health issues who do not have recognized disabled worker status in finding and staying in employment, using job coaching and peer support.
IMPACT OBJECTIVES
- 240 people supported.
- 45% progress in removing barriers to employment (housing, mobility, health, administrative rights, etc.).
- 40% positive outcomes in the mainstream economy.
NB : Positive outcomes in the mainstream economy: obtaining a contract of more than 6 months, entering qualifying training, starting a business.

Improve the employability of students receiving scholarships and/or from disadvantaged neighborhoods, and support companies in their inclusive recruitment efforts.
Woork
Support young people (especially vulnerable groups) with mentoring from their first paid job onwards to promote their professional success.

Experiment with job coaching for people with persistent mental health issues who do not have RQTH status, and support them in finding employment.

Supporting the career guidance of high school students in overseas territories & supporting the success and integration of students from overseas territories and scholarship recipients in mainland France.

Encourage students to continue their studies and remove barriers to the professional integration of scholarship recipients and/or students from priority neighborhoods enrolled in vocational programs.

Facilitating the social and professional integration of young refugees or immigrants while promoting the experience of working people aged 50+ and retirees in France.
