Supporting the career guidance of high school students in overseas territories & supporting the success and integration of students from overseas territories and scholarship recipients in mainland France.
Article 1 is a non-profit organization that works to support young people from working-class backgrounds so that their educational guidance, success in higher education, and professional integration do not depend on their social, economic, or cultural background.
FINDINGS
- Unemployment rate is twice as high in overseas territories as in mainland France.
- High mobility among overseas students.
- Problems accessing housing and integrating young people from overseas territories in mainland France.
PURPOSE OF THE IMPACT CONTRACT
To support the career guidance of overseas high school students and to support the success and integration of overseas students and scholarship recipients in mainland France.
IMPACT OBJECTIVES
Pre-baccalaureate:
- 1,200 high school students.
- 5% improvement in the level of information about life after high school.
Post-baccalaureate:
- 320 student beneficiaries.
- 55% of graduates entering the workforce (jobs, training, or further education).
- 50% employability of young people (development of more than 5 skills).

DUO for a JOB
Facilitating the social and professional integration of young refugees or immigrants while promoting the experience of working people aged 50+ and retirees in France.
Télémaque
Encourage students to continue their studies and remove barriers to the professional integration of scholarship recipients and/or students from priority neighborhoods enrolled in vocational programs.
Messidor
Experiment with job coaching for people with persistent mental health issues who do not have RQTH status, and support them in finding employment.
Fondation Mozaïk
Improve the employability of students receiving scholarships and/or from disadvantaged neighborhoods, and support companies in their inclusive recruitment efforts.
Woork
Support young people (especially vulnerable groups) with mentoring from their first paid job onwards to promote their professional success.
Les Eaux Vive Emmaüs
Supporting people with mental health issues who do not have recognized disabled worker status in finding and staying in employment, using job coaching and peer support.
